Prosperity In Action
"My wife and I have many friends that are experiencing prosperity and we are very fortunate to be able to share in that prosperity with them.
This blessing is somewhat interesting. Often we can get caught up trying to "keep up with Jones", especially if the "Jones" are our friends or family. Envy or jealousy can rear it's ugly head and we may allow ourselves to feel a sense of lack and look for fault in our friend's or family's success.
Just recently some friends found themselves able to purchase a cabin. Upcon hearing the news of thier new purchase we ound ourselves very happy for them but we might also felt a tinge of lack since we were in the position to do the same.
However, upon further reflection we realized just how prosperous/blessed/lucky we are to have friends with a cabin up North and that those friends are gladly willing to share it with us. If you think about it, we have the benefit of not actually having to pay for the cabin and are not responsible for the upkeep, yet we still get to enjoy it. How lucky and prosperous is that?
If we were to allow ourselves to feel envy about the cabin and see it as a sign of lack in our lives, how long do you think it would take for our behavior to be such that we would eventually ware out our welcome???
Bottom line… Our friend’s and family’s prosperity is our prosperity as well – as long as we choose to see it that way… "
